The Japanese are an incredibly superstitious people, and as a result they use loads of amulets called engimono (縁起物) – which translates as ‘good luck objects’ – for protection. This key ring is a great example of two of the most famous engimono: the fortune cat to attract good luck and the daruma to help you achieve your goals and wishes.
